A total of 12 new players and one new team officially joined the action on Tuesday when TGL announced rosters of 35 total competitors for its upcoming third season in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
The indoor golf league co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy added an expansion team this season as Motor City Golf Club will be led by Brooks Koepka, who returned to the PGA Tour this past season.
Woods returns to Jupiter Links Golf Club, while McIlroy will again be a staple of the Boston Common Golf lineup.
“Our teams are developing distinct identities that reflect their players’ personalities and competitive fire, the character of the cities they represent and the vision of their ownership groups,” TMRW Sports president of golf Rufus Hack said. “After two seasons, there’s history between these teams, and those growing rivalries bring added intensity to the competition.
“With Motor City Golf Club joining the league and new players bringing fresh energy to established teams, there’s plenty for fans to look forward to in 2027.”
While Koepka gives Motor City GC a veteran presence, the team will also include rising PGA Tour star Jackson Koivun, who is also set to make his TGL debut.
Another young player on the rise is Blades Brown, who will make his TGL debut for The Bay Golf Club.
Other new players for the upcoming season, which will begin on Dec. 27, are: Si Woo Kim (Motor City), Jake Knapp (Motor City), Bud Cauley (Motor City), Ben James (Los Angeles Golf Club), Michael Brennan (Atlanta Drive Golf Club), Alex Fitzpatrick (New York Golf Club), Keith Mitchell (Jupiter), Ben Griffin (New York), and Ryan Fox (The Bay).
The schedule of matches for the new season has not been released.
In addition to the dozen new players, 10 players among the top 20 in the world will be on rosters this season, as well as 20 players in the top 50.
In addition to McIlroy (ranked No. 2 in the world), TGL also will include top-20 players like No. 3 Matt Fitzpatrick (New York), No. 4 Cameron Young (New York), No. 5 Wyndham Clark (The Bay), No. 6 Chris Gotterup (Atlanta), No. 7 Tommy Fleetwood (Los Angeles), No. 11 Collin Morikawa (Los Angeles), No. 14 Kim, No. 19 Brennan and No. 20 Ludvig Aberg (The Bay).
